Aladdin | Primeiras imagens são divulgadas e dividem a opinião do público

A revista EW divulgou com exclusividade as primeiras imagens de Aladdin, adaptação da clássica animação de 1992. O elenco é encabeçado pelo canadense Mena Massoud (Aladdin), seguido por Naomi Scott (Jasmine) e Will Smith (Gênio) nos papeis principais. Guy Ritchie (Sherlock Holmes, O Agente da Uncle) dirige. O filme estreia em 24 de maio de 2019.

Mal as imagens foram divulgadas e não demorou para a caracterização do gênio de Will Smith chamar a atenção. Aqui o personagem aparece na forma humana, muito diferente do visual clássico de pele azul. Muitos usuários definitivamente não gostaram:

<p>In the 1992 animated classic, Jasmine only had her pet tiger Rajah to confide in. But in Guy Ritchie’s live-action remake, Jasmine (seen in her iconic green robes) has her best friend and handmaiden Dalia (Nasim Pedrad, left) to help her wade through the suitors who ask for her hand in marriage. </p>

<p>And Rajah fans needn’t worry – the tiger will still be in the film. </p>

<p>Aladdin and Jasmine flee from palace guards through a tannery, part of the extensive physical sets bringing Agrabah to life in the suburbs of London. </p>

<p>A resplendent Jasmine stands on the steps of the Sultan’s palace. In this live-action iteration, Jasmine’s arc will see her seeking power in order to protect her people and become a leader. </p>

<p>The Sultan’s advisor Jafar (Marwan Kenzari) has his own nefarious ambitions for procuring the magical lamp that houses the Genie. Here, Jafar is seen in his iconic black, red, and gold robes holding the lamp as he wishes to become the most powerful sorcerer on Earth.</p>

<p>Aladdin’s beloved furry sidekick Abu stares in astonishment in the Cave of Wonders. </p>
